Set up your reading space
A few practical checks for positioning your device and practising a page-turn gesture before you start moving.

A good setup starts with a screen you can read and a camera that can see your hand. Before using PageFlick during a treadmill or exercise bike session, try its practice view while stationary.
PageFlick is still in beta and coming soon. These are practical setup suggestions, not a guarantee that every device position or exercise setting will work.
Put the device somewhere stable
Use a suitable stand or holder and follow its instructions. Position the screen so you can read it without reaching for it or repeatedly looking down.
Keep the device and its holder clear of the equipment’s controls. Set up your book and text size before starting a session.
Leave room for your hand
Gesture tracking uses the camera to recognise an extended index finger. Make sure the camera is unobstructed and that your hand can enter its view comfortably.
Try a short horizontal movement in the practice view. Swipe left for the next page, then lower your hand or pause. Swipe right for the previous page.
Check the text size
PageFlick’s reading settings include text controls. Adjust them until the book is comfortable to read from your normal position. A text size that works while holding a phone close to your face may be too small on a stand.
Try a few pages before changing to an exercise session. You can return to the on-screen controls whenever that is easier.
Use the camera guide
If page turns do not trigger as expected, use the camera guide and practice view to check hand recognition. Keep your index finger extended with your other fingers curled. Adjust sensitivity if you need a different amount of finger travel.
Start with the reading setup you can control. Pool use has not been separately validated, so it is not a use case we recommend at this stage.
